Project Description

Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club

The guys at Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club are passionate about their lawn bowls, whether it is during competition season or at our social lawn bowls nights. The club in Perth, WA is so much more than just a bowling club, with a large social membership group who enjoy their excellent club prices at the bar or who come down to socialise in the comfortable lounge settings.

Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club approached Rosso Digital to add a membership renewal payment form to the website and provide overall feedback on further possible improvements. The website was previously built in their web host’s own website builder which provided very limited options to optimise the site for conversions or integrations. As the club’s main goal was to increase function enquiries, we decided together that the best option would be to rebuild the page into WordPress in order to make full use of third-party plugins.

Some of our main achievements were to build a fully automated membership renewal form which integrates with Mailchimp, not only capturing email addresses for EDM purposes but also to send out automated reminders when memberships are up for renewal. Furthermore we integrated an online booking option for their lawn bowling rinks and loaded seasonal enquiry and booking forms for events such as Melbourne Cup and Christmas functions. Almost all transactions and admin work are now automated through their website reducing the workload for their team and volunteers and freeing up time for them to look after their customers. We are also running successful paid social media campaigns to advertise special club events as well as increase function enquiries for specific seasons.
